The role of a clinical coach is vital in the training and development of our student veterinary nurses.
We provide complimentary standardisation training for our clinical coaches, as well as training on how to use the Central Skills Log (CSL) which records students’ progress with their practical training. In addition, we offer ongoing support to coaches throughout a student’s training, as well as providing a scheme of work to ensure that practical training is linked with the theory being delivered in college.
Clinical coaches receive detailed termly reports on their students’ progress in college and an interim half-termly report summarising their progress and attendance to date.
