We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team at AT Veterinary Systems; a well-established provider of practice management systems, with over 28 years’ experience.

If you understand business IT and are interested in the veterinary profession, we can help you to reach your potential in a customer-focused environment.

This role is all about relationship building and helping our veterinary clients with their IT needs. Ideally, the successful candidate will have two or more years within a sales role, or account management experience.

We are looking for:

  • A self-starter with the ability to manage their own time
  • A natural influencer, with a practical approach to dealing with new and existing clients
  • A good understanding of IT
  • Experience building strong relationships with clients
  • Sound knowledge of MS packages (mainly Word & Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
What does the role entail?
  • Dealing with all new and existing client queries
  • Ensuring the highest possible customer service is maintained
  • Managing relationships with our clients, working with everybody from executive level down
  • Acting as the first port of call. You will track everything the client wants and make sure it is completed on time, as promised, delivering beyond their expectations
  • Working across all departments within AT Veterinary Systems to ensure we deliver a first-rate service
  • General administration – ensuring all client details are up-to-date and relevant, including technical documentation reviews, contracts and any pre- or post-project plans
  • Managing the sales process using our CRM system
  • Talking to customers and building great relationships
  • Creating new processes to solve recurring problems
  • Travelling to practices across the UK (alongside other BDMs) and attending roadshows and congress events. Some weekends away will be required.
Required experience:
  • Client services/account management: 1 to 2 years
  • Sales management: 1 year
Required licence or certification:
  • Driving licence
